I can so imagine 😦 are there many that shed tears Beth when they first start, or are they excited and full of energy.. hmm equally could drive you batty ..lovely Haiku 🙂 xx
oh, it’s definitely a mix, went pretty well this year i thought, all relative. i love the emotion of it all, the ups and downs don’t really bother me, my job is to help them get back to center. thanks jen )
I feel bad for you having to deal with a bunch of crying kids. I know you are a great teacher and will have everyone smiling and having fun before you know it. 🙂
I still remember my first day of Kindergarten…I played dumb and didn’t get off the bus at my school because I was too scared. I waited until it went to the next school and then I had no choice but to get off because it was the last stop. I walked up to the school doors, gave them my name and they quickly realized the mistake. One of the teachers had to drive me in their car to my correct school. They thought I just didn’t know which school was mine! I’m happy my kids didn’t get my paralyzing fear of school!
so funny, i had almost the exact same experience. i was very shy and didn’t get off the bus after school in some unknown place and had to be rescued. pretty dramatic!

I don’t doubt for a minute that you’ll have them singing and dancing and facing life head-on in no time at all.

I like that “J” looks less upset than the other two. He at least has an interesting letter. “O” and “Y” are boring.

would you be bitter if you had to hold the o or y?
LikeLike
Yeah, probably. All the cool kids want to hold j.
