OMG- yes, I wish I could take my whole family to live in a warmer climate, all together, so I would NEVER have to scrape, fall down on ice, or even watch people sledding. I know that means I won’t be getting my wish come true, but watching them splash in the water, build sandcastles and play in warm weather is perfectly fine to replace my future images of frigid cold Winter!!
Reminds me of when our older daughter was 1 1/2 yrs. old and wanted to go to the beach. We used to live near the Ottawa River and we spent the summers at the beach. Mid winter, her father told her to get the flip flops out cause “we’re going to the beach”. When she saw the snow outside her reaction was just as depicted in the picture.

While I don’t miss Central New York’s L-O-N-G winters, there is still much I will miss about that season. I live in Florida and do not wear flip flops, but I do enjoy the chilly, fallish-type weather we’re having now. 😉
I saw some kids across the street yesterday walk — not run, walk — from the car into the house wearing just a shirt and diaper and, the other, just a diaper! That’s madness, right? Not mine?
That image is perfect for Floridians.

In Miami, you’d better have those flip flops on in summer too.

She was very angry with her father and decided to leave home about that. We all laugh about it now. Her father had a wicked sense of humour.

That is too cute. I suspect we (in the midwest) are all going to look like that by the middle of January. If not sooner.
