i have taken modern, belly, and hula dancing classes and embraced them all with great joy, along with dancing at every possible opportunity, (i’m sure you remember my broken toe of a few months ago when house dancing), and i’m not sure that i have moved beyond the balter stage of development in any of them.
It does sound a bit like a description of my presence on the dance floor. I really love music and dancing, but the admiration may be unreciprocated. Still, who cares if you’re having fun eh. If I don’t catch you before, I hope you and ypurs have a lovely Christmas 🙂
Better to have laughter and joy! Count me in…(we can move the coffee table, right? I suspect in an attempt to stop me from making a fool of myself, it is jumping in my way intentionally…)
great belinda, i’m saving a place for you. and absolutely, re-blog away, i’m all for it and find it flattering. you are always welcome to re-blog anything of mine that you’d like to. hugs back )
Thanks Beth, my memory is not what it once was and I can never remember who has given me open ended permission to re-blog, so if I ask again, forgive me. I’ll shine my shoes!
Me, me! At this point, I don’t even care who drives by the house and sees me flailing and thrashing about. I’ve got great rhythm, it’s just at the wrong times. 😀
🙂 I’m in…I haven’t danced in a long time and I don’t really like social dances but this dance I could get into! 🙂 “Dance like no one is watching!”
I like it…balter on….People used to say how what awesome dancers my husband and I were…really, we weren’t…often we were off beat and our feet didn’t match…but what they see is the pure joy in our hearts and our faces…and that’s all that matters. Thanks for finding this…much joy in my heart. Miss those dancing days! ~ Marie
Is there anything more enjoyable than baltering about all over the place, especially in the company of fellow balterers?? Well, besides sporadically falling down. That’s always a tremendous trip 😉 Fabulous post. Best wishes,
They have a name for my dancing attempts. It is “Carl, you look like an idiot out there so just go sit in that corner on the chair and do the crossword puzzle or something and why did you even come here in the first place?”
I’m in now, in my younger days, I rocked the floor..now not so much
