it has been said that a scotchman has not seen the world until he has seen edinburgh; and I think that I may say that an american has not seen the united states until he has seen mardi-gras in new orleans.

  1. I love (absolutely LOVE!!!!) cheese doodles! (I especially like an East Coast brand called, Jax.) I need to write about the time the Princess and I had some of the “special Cheetos” that turned green for St Patty’s Day. We didn’t know they were “special” and thought we were dying!!!! Thanks for the trip down “memory lane”!!! 🙂

  2. Wow! I wish I had been with Mark Twain to see the early days of Mardi Gras. Last night, on NCIS New Orleans there was murder in the street. Sometimes there is robbery.
Much safer to enjoy those hot sizzling Cheetos and staying up a little later. I love beignets, remembering how you and your travel partner stopped to get donuts… Fat Tuesday was spent eating chili with my son, his wife and their combined four kids. Marley sang louder and used such dramatic gestures, she made my heart proud!
