I think I told you how much I love Michigan. Too many beautiful places there to count – for all the seasons, really. That’s what’s so great about it 🙂

Funnily enough I actually knew about this, and its always amused me as a story and made me think. I suppose in those days ( the 1930’s I think ) they new the difference between news, gossip and speculation. Oh well, “Life can only get better,
Well, Wikipedia still can’t list anything interesting which happened April 18, 1930, it happens. New Zealand actor Clive Revill was born that day but you can’t fault BBC News for not reporting that.
Now we always have the Kardashians saying something. Or they’ll list people’s “tweets” about an event or issue and call that news. I’ve been lost in old crime movies from the ’30s and ’40s lately and loving ’em more than any new stuff. Longing for simpler times, maybe?

We need more of that today! Especially since media doesn’t report news, only personal opinions. That’s my opinion.

Let’s face it beth, news really meant news then. Not the puerile tripe about ‘celebrities’ we’re force fed on a daily basis.
