Several of our schools in this area have cut back on band and art. A local band that at one time had a huge number of students marching in contests and going to state finals, now has 6 members. Art classes have also been cut. It is just too sad!
This was an amazing thought, Beth. Great “find” and supportive of art in education. Some students feel the most comfortable in art class or with teachers like you, Beth, who let them choose from a wide variety of materials. Exploring the arts (music, too) really frees all of our souls.
