the university of michigan wolverines
rose to victory in
the university of maryland terrapins
football challenge
put forth by fellow blogger/sportswriter, mark b. –
and even
the 8 hour move-up game time
to head off the hurricane
and an away game location
couldn’t help
those turtles from maryland
who took to their shells
as
the wolverines from ann arbor
showed them what a real storm looked like
with a 28-0 win
and mark was a good sport and gracious enough
to honor his side of the losing bet.
a shot of him in the rain
dressed in the gear of his losing team.
onward!
Yay!

Congrats to Michigan and a very good loser who honors his bets, however crazy that might have been…:)

Great challenge!
My alma mater (University of Chicago) didn’t have teams (except chess of course) so I always root for my husband’s team, Michigan.

thanks, my daughter attended u of c as well, and they had to pay people and provide food for them to get them to go see a ‘maroon’s’ game. )

In my day, they gave kazoos to those who attended the games so they could form the halftime Kazoo Marching Band—a tiny, musically-challenged group at best. Not to mention their timeless cheer:
“Themistocles, Thucydides
The Peloponnesian War
X-squared, y-squared
H2SO4”

It’s been a crazy season … Mark’s Terps meet my Buckeyes this week, and they’ve been so inconsistent I can’t be too confident. I’d take a 28-0 final, though.
