grandbaby b and i shared the wonder
of the magic snow that came from the ceiling
at her very first real play,
the grinch.

i think, at a child’s birth,
if a mother could ask a fairy godmother to endow it with the most useful gift,
that gift would be curiosity.

The look on her face is priceless. I love the joy in children’s faces and glad she enjoyed the show. Love the Roosevelt quote.

I like to think of myself as a ‘fairy grandmother’ and take my grandkiddies to places that bring that look of wonder on their faces. Good job!

The Grinch is a special treat. I have only about 3 of 7 who have made it to a play but as you know, I love taking all to the movies, taking turns or in one “splurge”~ 10 tickets, parents included. (Only $4.50 apiece matinee price, $3.50 snack packs with popcorn candy and pop, water or juice.)
