I love that there is such a word, and believe that adults who see the world through the eyes of a child also see the treasures and don’t view them as valueless objects.
With interactive white boards I suspect chalk will one day be a thing of the past. I remember each day the teacher appointed two of us to go outside to ‘bang the duster’. It was one of my favourite jobs as we ‘painted’ a wall with the left over chalk.
I love the ability to use chalk on large pieces of paper, on chalkboards and sidewalks, ♡ Beth. My favorite part of using chalk on paper is you can “soften the lines” by gently rubbing the chalk. 🙂
Once again, Beth … I am so blessed when I come to ididnthavemyglasseson !! One of the intense efforts we make in this life are to “put a name to it” … That’s a new name, for a child’s passion that has been around for centuries.
I love it and I would rather have chalk and driveways or colors and paper I am happy!!!! Thank you. I finally know where I can find you Ms Ksbeth. and I happy with my first read now I must catch up for sure. LOL
Give me chalk and a driveway anyday😊

Is this a word you use in English? That appears to me very difficult to say for you.

No, not at all. It’s roots are German. Sometimes words to best describe things are found in other languages –

German was my first language Beth. I am way more proficient in English now, so thanks for the new word! ❤

thank you, and it is as natural as breathing, for children, holding their ‘treasures’ dear.

I think I’d have to look up this word for spelling every dang time, Beth. But that doesn’t mean I fail to see it’s tremendous worth! 🙂

That would include just about anything. When seeing things thru a child’s eyes, we have a renewed pleasure for things easily overlooked before. 😉

I was going to say something about a child’s eyes, but russtowne beat me to it. I hope that at least sometimes I can still see with a child’s eyes.
