Apparently people have been competing for a spot on the pole long before NASCAR.

What a gorgeous setting for a May pole. I hope Brookside is still continuing the tradition.

Beautiful, Beth. Happy May Day!
Memories. . . I think of making May baskets for elderly neighbors with my own children and in school making those colored paper baskets or placemats. . . “Camelot” and when King Arthur says he would never leave Queen Guinevere in Springtime with her flowers in her hair. . . Sending you wishes for the Merry month of May!

Thanks for bringing back beautiful memories of days gone by and more to come. You have a special way of helping me remember beauty when I’m bogged down in the rush of life. I’m going to find ribbons to fly in the garden now – not later.
