“all of us might wish at times
that we lived in a more tranquil world,
but we don’t.
and if our times are difficult and perplexing,
so are they challenging and filled with opportunity.”

Excellent point Beth – there are many who can speak well but few who can turn their words into actions.

A man who encounters strife and sees opportunity instead is a great man indeed. Thank you for honoring this particularly great man, Beth.

Indeed. Challenges are opportunities. Thanks for the reminder. Feeling challenged today – now will look for the opportunity.

I remember that turbulent day, Beth. Even then as a little guy, I admired the way Bobby looked at our world, full of opportunity and challenges.

We can learn a lot from that. Rather than turn to defeatist, we can buck up and find a way. i’d rather buck up.

Robert Kennedy was an amazing person , and he should of been a president…
He was killed right in front of my office on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, this place was closed since, what a horrible moment that was.
Thank you for the post,

I can’t help but believe those words are powerfully accurate today. We could use a Bobby Kennedy today.

Who could argue with that. The funny thing is that WE make the world what it is by our choices. So if we want tranquility, we need to stop the violence and hatred.

That’s the cover photo on a new biography of RFK that comes out next week (I think). I have it preordered on Amazon. I was too young to know anything about him when he was killed (I was 2). What I know, I’ve learned over the years. Looking back, it really makes one wonder what our country would be like today had he been elected.
