nature provides their learning opportunities

and

what a pleasure it was

to talk to them and their teachers

and

to watch them all learning

from nature

and each other

with such a natural joy.

“in nature, a child finds freedom, fantasy, and privacy:

a place distant from the adult world, a separate peace.”

  1. Pretty cool that you were able to explore other venues of learning. As the wonderful teacher you’ve shown yourself to be- always willing to learn:)

  3. This is very good to find out other ways to incorporate nature, although yours (and my own classrooms) have always included nature, in hikes, gathering samples, having children learn to adapt without any technology interrupting their education and thought processing. . . especially wonderful for those who get so over-stimulated with “busy” and noisy classrooms. Social interactions seem very well benefitted through this, too. So happy for you, to get first hand validation of your own philosophy, with some of Montessori influences, too.
