We over here are at a loss how you over there can deal with the way your political system is run. This Clinton/Trump fiasco has been going on forever. I don’t envy the voting process or voters, not just with these candidates but all who follow. From what I know about JFK, he is once again needed. Hope this doesn’t offend anyone as we don’t have republicans and democrats as such over here…. It’s all too confusing. Good luck!

JFK one of the greatest men this country has ever seen as President thanks. Those words and his life stood for something. I wish he was still here but he would be to old to run for President now wouldn’t he? Hope you’re feeling better Beth. Have a good week at school… ❤ Kat

Well said.
But I’m afraid too many people do not want to hear the truth.

I really hope that I am wrong, and I won’t mind one bit!

Nowadays, the truth is whatever they want us to believe.

So tonight you have the first of the debates which will be very much about the two personalities and very little about the policies.
I don’t know what hope there is for the US. My mum has a saying, ‘you reap what you sow’ and I think your political system shows this to be true. It breeds a certain type and makes it very difficult for ‘normal’ individuals to flourish.

Yes, I wonder if l’ll feel better or worse after watching it tonight?

It’s very little to do with me but the thought of tonight is frightening. How good or bad will it be. One of these is your future!

It’s hard to hope but we must. It’s still going to happen.

That was a different time. We all hope for the truth today but I’m afraid the truth is on short supply these days.

Thanks for posting this. And I say that selfishly because it felt like a punch in the gut to me when I saw a Trump ad on one of my blog posts. I saw you liked the post I wrote after seeing that Trump ad, and when I clicked on you, I see not a political ad, but a very cool blog post, about a very awesome president (although I was young when he was around as well). So, seeing this post of yours has helped me settle down a bit (after that very disturbing ad I saw on my blog). Thank you, thank you! (If I see that Trump post on my blog again, I’m going to capture the screen shot and send it to WordPress as inappropriate!)
