Has that picture been horizontally flipped?
I always feel sorry for the pumpkin. It tastes bad and its only purpose in life is once a year to have its brains scooped out and a candle stuck inside what is left behind!

it appears that way indeed. it was an archived vintage photo so there was not much to be done about it and it’s part of the halloween fun, i guess. ) yes, the pumpkin’s fate is rarely a good one )

Had the same thought…. and read your comment. Here is a wonderful video about pumpkins…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3cc2QeSfWw – it’s from a great series – perfect to share with kids. Have a wonderful day! Happy Halloween.

Thanks for the link. No one eats pumpkin in UK. It tastes like wallpaper paste but now we grow hundreds of thousands just to be used at Halloween. What a waste of effort and resources!

I would agree with comment about the waste – pigs can eat it, but most end up in yard waste and compost

This reminded me that girls had to wear dresses or skirts to school, for me, all the way through college. My girls and grandsons find that amusing:)
