Thin ice, more ways than one. My mother often told me, “You’re on thin ice and don’t know it.” I always thought it was a bit funny because she would use the sentence in the summer time but I always knew what she meant!
This is always a marvelous time!
Hope you had lots of fun, Beth with grandies!!
I especially liked snow or ice days the years I stayed home and babysat. Spending time with my 3 children with the other children made some of the best days of my life.
It was always amazing that parents would get their children up and into the car to come to my house.
Stay warm with Glen Frey the cat, not the rockstar.

I can understand Mr. Emerson’s advice.
I love ice/snow days! Not that I benefit from them. But I like the idea of the kids and teachers home safe. 🙂

Very “cool”. My youngest one so hoped for a school free day because of all the snow… but no!

‘Snow day’ or ‘ice day’. Sounds like we live on different planets.

I tracked down the Emerson quotation and found it’s from an essay entitled “Prudence.”
