hi k – for the photo google images. just typed in red white and blue sky and the quote was found on google as well. look under the author’s name. hope this helps )
Thanks. I saw some beautiful images on google images although I didn’t find that particular one. Most photos on google images are not public domain though so I rarely use anything from there.
The sites I’ve found that are truly free and available are pixabay.com, wikimedia.com and most on creative commons.org. In looking up different sites just now, I found another one! https://www.dreamstime.com/free-photos.
Pixaby and Creative Commons are currently my favorite sources.
Beautiful pic. And, oddly enough, my WordPress followed-sites thingy is briefly working, but only showing the last 4 posts (one each, that is) of the various blogs I follow. Any previous ones are the same old pulsating-shadow-areas. It’s Saturday noonish here, so I figure the gamers who eat up all the bandwidth (or whatever the correct term is) around here are napping for a few hours, ha ha.
Thanks as always for the day-brightener!
The quote is both lovely and powerful, especially in the light of recent political events and I love the picture. I have taken to taking pictures of sunrises and sunsets myself so I am now looking at them as I man who dreams of taking the perfect picture of the perfect sunset. That will never happen but it a nice thing to strive for 🙂

Your photo is stunning. May I use it in a future GreenFriends newsletter? I write them monthly. Here is a sample of a past one. http://www.greenfriendsna.org/Downloads/GreenFriends_Newsletter_September2016.pdf.
I will be marching in Seattle.
