It is an awesome, natural and charismatic way of expressing oneself. I love this quote and the soulful man (although flawed) who said this.
The movie with Jamie Foxx is one of my favorite autobiographical films. Portraying a legend was an awesome accomplishment! xo
So sorry, I was in car dealership with my second attempt at towing and servicing my nearly 9 year old faithful car. I read the quote and missed the much more important larger “picture.” Saturday, finally returning to say have a gently used car, new payments and wheels to take me places. It was a week from my work incident and its original dying car situation. Life is good here, cannot wait till yours in back in order. ❤
And you still manage to light us up with your soul, Beth. We hope you reach the top of the power company’s list soon. Our thoughts are with you in Michigan here in Syracuse.
The top of my list Beth. I hope it gets restored quickly. We went over a week without, makes ine realize what we took for granted. I hope everyone stays safe.
Awesome quote Beth! I hope you get your power back sooner rather than later. It’s incredibly windy here in MA as well. I tried going for a short walk earlier, but turned back rather quickly because the gusts were too strong.😕
We had the wind as well. Terrified Emily, who ran away. I have her house held down with huge rocks but the wind tossed the tarp from under them, like they were pebbles. Benches, chairs overturned, branches down (I have old trees right by my house and I was kind of worried that a huge branch would fall on my roof). It felt as if the house was being beaten with heavy pillows, by someone realllllly tall. Two days of it. Things are calm now. So sorry about the power outage. I hope you are warm enough and that things are back to normal soon. Too cold to be without heat, that’s for sure.
I have to admit, I like my electricity. Lanterns and candles are fun for a while, and then I want my computer back on:) Hope you get your power again soon.
Interesting, reading this post now, with wind howling against my window (in New England), and right after I wrote tomorrow’s post – about soul. Hope you’re warm and cozy and safe.
My heart bleeds for you. We’re five months past Hurricane Matthew in Savannah, and we’re still dealing with fallen trees. Power (and water) out for a week, here at the homestead. I missed water and refrigerator most.
