no students today
teachers get together to talk and play
and
to see how it feels for our kids
as we encourage them to experiment
to play with the process
rather than make a project
for the pure joy of creation
we try out materials
with no expected outcome
just for the chance to see what will happen
when we are finished
we share what we’ve made with each other
and as it happens
each one is a beauty in its own way.

and since I have been told I have a hole in my head, I feel qualified in that open mind category…that’s a good thing after all! 😉

What a brilliant idea… explore the process, not the project. Here’s some stuff, do whatever you want with it. Love it!

So much fun with coworkers adds to the quality of all who pass thru the school’s doors, Beth. ❤

Bravo! Adults sometimes forget to create, just for the fun of it and sharing this together makes it even better. I also think the quote you included is wonderful.

unfortunately if you saw my art I’d have to pass it off as one of the children’s and I suspect none of them would have wanted it. Great idea though.

oh, these were our pieces of art, the adults, and not the children’s, so i think you would fit right int )

I knew that but I imagined you all busy at your work of art and when you are finished looking at mine and asking ‘Is that your’s?’ to which I’d reply, ‘No. Of course not. This is some poor misfortunate childs art who is obviously destined to great things away from a pencil and crayons.’ 🙂
