I remember writing a story about a barbarian emperor out to conquer the world but his daughter falls in love with the hero and he would have to choose between conquering the world and his daughter who stands in his way with the man she loves… but when the hero and the daughter meet for the first time in battle she took control of my fingers because she grew up in a nasty environment raised among the greatest warriors in the world and would not be defeated by some guy who trained to fight in tournaments. So she captured him, took him back to her father as a prize, and the entire novel veered off course.
Wonderful image of creativity and changing as you go is a great way of adapting to the world itself. I am not sure why this took me to a lofty response, but it did! Have a beautiful weekend, Beth! 🍂🌾🍁

As a writer I can so-o-o-o relate to this. The adventure of creation, wondering what we’ll discover just around the bend, is a big part of the fun.
