happy christmas.

Standard

I saw

a tiny tricycle

decorated in garlands and sparkles

parked in the bike rack at the library

heard the train come through town

softly whistling the tune of jingle bells

watched the people line up

to catch the bus to the airport

taking them somewhere

where people were waiting to see them

turned to say hello

to the man walking his dog

in his Christmas pajamas

spent the day with family and friends

playing and laughing

simply enjoying the celebration

happy Christmas everyone.

  1. absolutely – and – if we’re really lucky, we become a child again on other days too, not but on Christmas Day! I love Christmas Season, the Advent Sundays, calendars, sweet little notes, tiny attentions…..

  2. it was so cozy at first I thought you were quoting LIW the whole time. But then I remembered there weren’t busses and airports on the prairie. if we’re really lucky, we become a child again on other days too, not but on Christmas Day. Becoming a child again at Christmas makes a world of difference. This is lovely. Merry Christmas,
