When I was a kid(not so long ago) and a boy scout, and I was a was doing a fund raiser called “Bob A Job” week, and little Ivor went over the the road to Mrs Godfrey’s place, to do a “Job”, polishing her husbands shoes, well as a I was doing my “Job”, Mrs Godfrey said to me “Go home and ask your mum for some elbow grease”, young innocent Ivor went home home and asked his mum for the elbow grease……. yep… mum was still talking about that day when she was ‘Ninety’…..
actually they are cleaning up a ‘masterpiece’ left by someone else who painted on the easel instead of the paper. ) their elbow grease turned the paint on the easel into a new masterpiece . )
