Reminds me of sitting on a balcony in Florida as a man rides his bike down the street with an 8′ ladder across the back. You immediately want to know the story behind it. As always, loved your selected quote!
We are not in control of the controls
While all the newsreaders look like Barbie Dolls
…….the Steve Wright I knew was the lead singer of the “Easybeats” 1965
Finding inspiration out of everything in our environment and provoking any form of emotion out of it in word format is the true gift of a writer. Way to go! 😁👍
I am going to Google him and see. He is a producer of Louie 2010-15. He ranked 15 th in the Greatest Comedian by Rolling Stone in 2017.Good he is still around.
Love the Stephen Wright quote. Have you found that we also talk louder when someone doesn’t understand what we’re saying? We say the same stuff — only louder, like that will help!
Ohhh, I am definitely using this as a prompt for my creative writing students. “You’re walking down the street and almost trip on this remote control. Who’s is it? Why’s it there? What happened?” 🙂
I could go even further and say “You discover the battery is dead, but when you press the remote button hard, something happens… WHAT?”
Very random, and that’s a great quote. I remember how excited I was as a kid when we got our first remote control tv. Now I’m always complaining that we have too many remotes!
Loved the quote and the photo. Makes you think. Thanks to the person for putting the Hollies song on here. I’ve been looking for it as it’s a favorite earworm. Have a great holiday in lockdown. 😉
oh dear!

…now it’s in a remote location. I would only need the remote during a train programme to turn up the volume- if it’s not already all the way up:)

I wd love to make up that story. It wd be a destructive act, throwing the remote out of a window, or such.
But then they quote! That’s Quote Gold!
