Love the fact that the owners were not afraid to be different. I am sad to say that even though I love it I’ll rather blend in with the rest of the people.
If I do have the opportunity to go totally out of my comfort zone I will paint my house Orange and Yellow…. It is such happy colors and my favorite fruits are bananas and oranges…..

Orange and yellow are my favorite colors – I would envy your house. My husband is always worried about resell value and will never let me stray from the ‘neutral color’ palette.
I am slowly wearing him down and have almost convinced him to let me paint the front door BUT… it will have to be green (his favorite color). Ah, marriage and compromise.

It is good to be safe, but I think now and then we must color outside the lines…
My fiance would paint everything black or grey. I love grey and our bedroom is grey and red. My kitchen is yellow, black and red…. The colors of spices…. The rest of the house is neutral….
Talking about front door I love a Red or a Blue door…. In Scotland I saw a house with a
bright yellow door it looked stunning….
Maybe someday…….

Whalen I bought my last house, I changed the front door color often, in response to having lived in neutral rentals for so long. Apple green, French blue, etc.

I love when people are willing to express their creativity. That’s why I’ve always admired students who would come to my class with bright green hair for no reason, wore clothes that didn’t fit in with the crowd, or show up to class with their skateboard…

I live in Ann Arbor where the wizard house is located, and have family in. Traverse City where part of my family lives and I visit. So both!

This reminds me of two house where I live. One owner rents two houses side by side, one is purple and the other is pink! They are painted in very good taste with scrolling and lots of detail. Actually very pretty.

I love art on houses! These are beautiful! If I lived in a real neighborhood that didn’t have all these dumb rules, I’d do something fun with my house too. Now I just hang quilts and embroidery projects in my windows. I love the wild garden on the first house too. If only…
