yard salad.

Standard

how did these veggies end up in the yard?

why did these veggies end up in the yard?

a child disliked them, hiding them?

someone was unhappy about healthy food?

  bunnies in the area?

they’re just sitting in the yard, waiting.

  1. This is something my kids would do. Dump the vegetables!
When my son was in Kindergarten, his teacher assigned him a writing assignment. It was something along the lines of “About Mommy” when it got to ‘mom’s favorite food is’ he answered ‘salad’. I was horrified.
No, that is NOT my favorite food- my favorite food is any type of cheesy pasta goodness, but apparently I ate so much salad that he just came to a logical conclusion… lol

  2. I tracked down the Oscar Wilde quotation to the play “Vera; or, The Nihilists.” Here’s the original wording: “Ah! you may laugh, baron; but to make a salad is a much more difficult thing than cooking accounts. To make a good salad is to be a brilliant diplomatist — the problem is so entirely the same in both cases. To know exactly how much oil one must put with one’s vinegar.”

    • My friends daughter used to spit peas into a heat vent near their table until they were discovered dried up in the vent one day during a deep cleaning
