happy national junk food day!
how will you celebrate this special occasion?
if i had to choose, i’d go with
flamin’ hot cheetos, chips n’ dip, and cadbury carmello bar
care to share your favorites?

My husband made an M&Ms dispenser, which we keep filled with dark chocolate M&Ms. It’s both fun and deadly to have around. 😏

Latest favorite is Sanders chocolates, but eating one — or two, or, three when i’m really bad — of these dark chocolate sea salt caramel feels much less sinful than calling Sanders chocolates ” junk food”! And, Beth, they’re made in the state you share with junk food addict (not!) Michael Moore in Clinton Township, Michigan. I bet their tours give free samples. The website is sanders candy.com but you can’t eat them virtually. 🙄

sanders is my favorite chocolate company, especially their hot fudge. i grew up with their birthday cakes, candies, and let’s not forget their hot fudge cream puff sundaes! now i’m craving one )

I might have guessed Sanders is your favorite. I didn’t know about their hot fudge cream puff sundaes and birthday cakes. Does Costco sell them, too?
LikeLiked by 1 person
the cakes are available at some groceries, not a costco member so i’m not sure. some of the stores reopened a few years back, and i haven’t seen the cream puffs ,but there’s always a chance. it’s basically a cream puff shell, filled with vanilla ice cream, and slathered with the hot fudge. an amazing combo

OMG! I want that! Guess I’ll have to come to MI and crash in Ann Arbor. 🤭

great quote from Michael Lewis.
Yesterday was National Ice Cream Day, today is National Junk Food Day – there must be a conspiracy against healthy living, perhaps started by Weight Watchers…

I don’t like junk food and pop.
My idea of food fun is homemade banana bread (no eggs) OR nachos that I make with whole grain rounds and lots of healthy toppings.
Actually…. I’m not allowed to be near Old Dutch potato chips. Whew! Just thinking about them makes me gain weight!

Every day is national junk food day here. I have my stash hidden in my room. Dark choc with almonds and sea salt or ginger for the really tough days. Right now it’s hint of lime tostitos or coconut milk frozen Popsicle’s. I need salt and cold right now. Heat in not my friend. Kit Kats or tootsie rolls when I’m nostalgic. I wish I could give up junk food but even a 12 step program couldn’t help that addiction. 😉
