This made me chuckle. I used to tell my martial arts students when they weren’t sure what to do pretend they had someone they respected sitting on their shoulder helping guide them. Or watching over the decisions they make.

We live in State College, :PA (pop. 43,000), where this weekend 47,000 undergraduates will return to attend Penn State. Do you think we can assign them each a Fauci for their shoulders?

Follow directions. Choose to respect science. Be wary of anyone who suddenly is an expert, and happens to have a different approach that is diametrically opposite to facts. Remember that there are nefarious forces at work – and those who support them with foreign influence. Let’s remember the world used to look to us as the country that knew how to lead us out of disaster, not deeper into it.

I loved this cartoon and so much to think about. The Sunshine on my Shoulder song came to mind. I did a few lines with Fauci in place. The “others” make me cry.

Dr. Fauci should be given the Nobel Peace Prize for his stalwart attempts to keep us safe. Instead, he and his family have to have bodyguards to protect them from deranged Trump supporters.
