We got the news during our Rosh Hashanah Zoom dinner when our older daughter happened to glance down at her phone and gasped. We all felt devastated, and I hope that her good work does live on.

The more I discovered about Justice Ginsburg’s life, the more I cherished her, Beth. Yesterday’s news here featured interviews with current sorority sisters at Cornell University, and how her legacy affected them these long generations later was so marvelous to here. They are determined to carry her wisdom and determination with them.

I can’t believe we have to keep going without her. She was so important to all of our lives, not just her family, but to the whole country, to women everywhere. No words can explain how much she will be missed and how we will all suffer for her leaving.

She was a brilliant progressive thinker – polar opposite to Supreme Court Judge Antonin Scalia…yet they were close friends. You see, we CAN have different opinions but still have respect and consideration of each other….she will be missed
