one friend shares her flower with another

as a teacher of young children
i am always struck
by the natural way
that children connect with each other
reaching out
with genuine kindness and kinship.

“anyone who takes time to be kind is beautiful.”

Yes, kindness is the most essential and the most under-rated quality. In today’s Corona time, kindness is what keeps people alive and well, I believe.

Kindness and connection are inherent to our nature. We only learn to hate from others.

Terrific insight, and a lesson for ALL of us: just teach love, kindness and respect and practice it in your own life as well and imagine the world we’d live in!

maybe people should be required to go back to kindergarten every 5-10 years for a refresher course…

And I appreciate adults who continue to learn from children. We sometimes forget. And they are great teachers.

Isn’t that beautiful, Beth? Children have so much goodness in their hearts. While I’m happily retired, I miss being around kids. When this pandemic ends, and the county library reopens, I’m going to see if they’ll let me do a story hour.

Always! Also, they never hold a grudge; angry with each other one minute and best friends a minute later. We adults can learn much from children.
