“what difference does it make if you live in a picturesque little outhouse
surrounded by 300 feeble minded goats and your faithful dog?
the question is: can you write?”

My only difference of opinion is: There’s nothing feeble minded about goats. 😀

There was a feeble time in my life, after my first stroke, when I could not write, nor even pick up a pencil….

And old bones are achy
But after a crunchy brekkie
And a Cafe cakey
Hey, maybe matey
I will still write daily
When I’m a spacey eighty

Dare I ask this question to myself? ;(
Will anyone read what I write? 😉

I’ve often read that smaller spaces are conducive to better writing. (I would add that then exiting said enclosure to open spaces is just as good.). I love Mr. Hemingway.

Hmmm…I think it has potential, the outhouse I mean, there’s enough space to add some features to it and even a room, with a view, to write…lovely post Beth. Those statements make one think and thinking about creative work is enchanting, I would say. All the best,

I thought it could be redone into a writing shed . Ran across it on a hike

HA! Love this! Oh, and remember what Truman Capote said when asked about Jack Kerouac’s book “On The Road”: “that’s not writing, that’s typing.”

The outhouse would be stinky, but I would still write.

I’ve written in most kinds of places, Beth, but to have written in an outhouse such as this would be a supreme achievement 🙂

Our outhouses were not so stunning. I love this one. No wonder he wrote so well. That is the question. I ask it often. Daily, minute by minute. 😉

This was one that is in a local park here and it had an outstanding look about it

Well your park certainly knows how to build them. Ours was several hooked together and as a small child facing a large hole with a rather long smelly drop, I always had great fear using them. Better than the chamber pots though. Lordy, I’m old! 🙂
