🙂 I should have said, Barry’s Burgers: it was the post you read and responded to a few days ago, the one with the zesty wall drawings 🙂 I think it was called ‘Burger Art’
There is an hour of delineation that says when I’m up, I’m up, Beth. 3 a.m. falls just a bit on the go-back side. Knock on wood. But you will find me tap-tap-tapping in the pre-dawn, for sure.
Thank you, Beth. Gordon Parks worked in the middle of the night in part because it block out the light for his photography in his NYC apartment. Arias in Silence — https://www.amazon.com/Arias-Silence-Gordon-Parks/dp/0821221205 — and Glimpses into Infinity are extraordinary works of photographic art and accompanying original poetry.
As a working musician, that’s when I got home, usually. As a working writer, I’m usually blissfully asleep. But it’s that time when you have the world, pretty much, to yourself and the muses don’t have to yell. They can whisper, which is sometimes more appropriate.
Couldn’t agree more. There’s something about three o’clock, whether afternoon, or in the morning. I think our hormones change shifts and we react to that. Many a thing has gotten done at three a.m. in the dark of morning.
So true! I’m glad I’ve met so many creatives online. It’s great to be able to chat with them during those wee hours in the morning when I need to discuss an idea. ❤
Hi my dear friend … Congratulations
Thanks to your loyalty, you are the winner of this month’s gift from my website, a free logo for your blog.
To receive your gift, you must send me a request by email to: alozadea@gmail.com, with:
1) The name of your website
2) Subject of the site
3) Your language
4) your name
5) your country
6) your aesthetic choices for the logo:
* General shape: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, other?
* 2,3, or 4 colors. which ones?
* Design style: abstract, character, thing, geometric shape, other? ….
* Writing style.
* You like a model in my articles (which number?)
It is such a random time but apparently it is a thing. Apparently 4am is a very common time in literature, it has a name but I cannot for the life of me remember what is was. I might get back to you on that. Lovely post. Thank you
Love this little poem. I’m a 3 a.m. riser as well. My mother was the same. She went back to sleep after coffee and a cigarette. I just write in bed since no one’s there. 😉 Finally figured out that no matter what time I went to bed, I woke at 3. So 9 pm it is. With a nap during the day. 🙂 Two creative mornings that way.
I did not receive your email message, to prepare your logo for you. if I do not receive it before Saturday midnight, I will give the gift to another friend of the blog.
thank you for you very kind offer, I do appreciate it, but I’m going to keep with what I have for now. you are the one I will come to when I am ready, your work is wonderful )
Hence the nickname I gave myself on my blog: Night Writer

I tend to wake up early and sometimes it’s just too early, but I just go with it. I’ve learned not to fight it and try to make the most of it

Yup. Three am drawing on my iPad in bed. Somehow it doesn’t feel this morning like the best decision.
