Digging or having fun in hte forest is the best entertainment for children. I used to make houses out of leaves and anythign we could find in the forest with my children. It was as much fun for me as for them.

I don’t know how young we were when we decided to run away from home. We grabbed some stuff, headed into the woods and began excavating the basement. It was about 3-feet square and a foot deep when we decided to go back home for lunch.
I remember we brought little suitcases, but I don’t remember what we put in them. I do remember that we included a “step” down to the “basement.” We were thinking ahead.
You know, there is always soooo much work to do!!
