strolling.

Standard

check out those rides!

“my stroller of choice is the graco classic.

it’s the ’70s buick of strollers, bulky with a complete absence of style.

there are no good lines on a graco.

yes, it has cup holders, like any self-respecting car or stroller does these days,

but the luxuries stop there.”

  1. So often we say,”I just want a normal day.” But then we crave the other. Something different and exciting.
Those strollers look like the other to me. πŸ™‚

Normal is me riding in my 10 + years Honda.
I would like something different …. like a 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet …. for a change. All I have is small change, so won’t be happening. 😦

  2. Oh this takes me back, Beth. Our first stroller was from Toys R Us. I can’t remember the brand. Then we got a front and back double stroller, a Graco, and we used that until our kids didn’t fit in it anymore. I used to put three in it and carry our baby! It was fancy for then because it had a snack tray with a cup holder in the front, but not very fancy compared to today’s strollers! Still the simple umbrella strollers were often the best option. Great post!

  3. Don’t know any of those models, had a dad-made wooden rocking horse (which was passed on to unknown kids after the 4th child grew out of it), can’t remember any stroller but remember very well that we were straining in our ‘leashes’ mum held firmly in her capable hands…. Love this neatly lined-up collection πŸ™‚

  4. Hahaha, cute!
Then there’s the other end of the “rides” scene.

A couple blocks from me there’s an old neighbourhood restaurant, that seniors hang together in. (Well, pre Covid for many many years.) They all use those special seniors scooters. They park them in front, like motorcycles in the old Brando movie “The Wild One”. Although it looks more the “The Mild One”.
