This less than subtle proclamation certainly does its job. I now have an immediate need for a can of this joy in my cupboard. Great post, Beth!

I’d like to see what they come up with for a can of broccoli or spinach.

Have you been to the Cherry Pie Hut for pie yet? Always a stop on a trip to upper Michigan. Soooooo good! Wish I were on this trip with you. Lots of relatives in Traverse and its environs.

I haven’t but it sounds like my kind of place. Is it in the traverse area? I gave family on glen lake in empire as well as in traverse city

It’s in Beulah, Michigan. We’ve always stopped there since I was a kid. You’d love it. My folks used to say that if you stayed there long enough you’d see everyone you’ve ever known. I saw a cousin there that I hadn’t seen in 30 years when we went back about 10 years ago, so I know that saying is true! Here’s the website: http://www.cherry hut.com

I know where that is! I’ll try to stop there on my next trip up – thanks!

The name is apt, especially if you’re trying to alleviate gout symptoms. Cherries work great for that (according to friends who have the issue).

I’ve loved cherries since I was a child. I used to raid Daddy’s wet bar and eat all the maraschino cherries in his little fridge. And we always bought big bags of fresh bing cherries every summer at a certain roadside stand in Lyons, Colo. Yum.

I like my moresals of jou dipped in chocolate. We have a good local (in State) company called Chukars Cherries that I really like. They even use biodegrabable packaging and offset their carbon footprint from shipping. Things I can’t help but support and what a sweet reward it is!
