Junk drawer

what what’s that red circle thing?

don’t have any idea but we might need it.

what’s that twisty thing? no idea.

“a safe bit sometimes chilly way of recalling the past is to force open a crammed drawer. if you’re searching for anything in particular you won’t find it but something falls out of the back that is often more interesting.”

  1. I reckon we all save things for that day when we’ll look for them but cannot find them…maybe someone threw it away years ago…happens to me all the time.

  2. I have so many of those special micro-crowbar-looking screwdrivers that Ikea apparently thinks are useful for any other purpose…but good luck screwing the original screw again without it, so there they sit!

  3. So true! I have a junk drawer too and, though I still remember what most things in there are used for, this is only due to the fact that I’ve only lived in my current place for two years so far.

  4. That’s so true! Yesterday, I searched high and low for the corn holders, I found them eventually, but more importantly I found a special corkscrew which allows to open wine bottles with no efforts at all. One has got to have their priorities right…. 😉

  5. Haha! Sometimes I open my junk drawer and wonder where some of the stuff came from. Maybe the Tooth Fairy has got a side hustle. The funny thing is I don’t throw any of it anyway even though I might not know what something is. I might need that someday if I ever can figure out what it is.🤣
