spring is just around the corner
Almost halfway thru January, February is a short month, then March …
it’s like only 20 minutes (as per Jerry Seinfeld’s calculations)

Ah yes, but here in Michigan, you know we will get a good spring snow … we always do!

Me too! I enjoy it when I can stay home and just watch it. I hate driving in it! LOL

I want to agree with you, but the single digit temperatures are not helping.

From the beginning of January I always watch the buds beginning to grow on the bushes during my walks and it always helps to raise my spirits 🙂

I think spring is a little overrated. Sorta like learning about the birds and the bees. What’s the big fuss?
But then knowing that it will happen over and over is a nice thought. 😉
It gets better with each coming.

Yeah, that’s a good photo…how we all feel sometimes. So. Sixty-seven days. It’ll go by quickly, methinks.

I loved the birdsong so much. It was wonderful. The flowers, sigh. I can’t wait. Thank you for this on a truly dark, gray day. ❤

I thought for a moment this was going to be a countdown to next Christmas already!
Fortunately, it wasnt.

It feels a bit like spring here in Minnesota as temps are in the upper 20s and near 30, a welcome change from the sub-zero temps. It will be a long time, though, before any green pokes through the snow.

We don’t want spring until after winter finally arrives. Bear is pretty adamant about that.

i totally get that, and ours has been way off this year as well. i just always look forward to the longer days of light –

Bear also thinks light is good. She’d tell you herself but she’s napping as it’s dark.

Like Martha, I’m still waiting for winter to arrive, good and proper. Sunny and 60 in January just won’t do. March is supposedly our (Denver’s) snowiest month, so there is still hope.

Beth while we have barely had any winter here in northern Ohio I still am very much in on your optimism that spring is not too far off. Love that screen of tulips behind the clock. I still reserve the right to have the mid-winter blues several times until March finally roars out like a lion. thanks !

I can imagine the excitement of an icy cold winter coming to an end; winters are more mild in Oz as you know; our summers can be fierce, though we have only had so far a handful of hot days

We haven’t really had winter….so I’m not sure if winter is going to blow in and tromp all over spring or if it decided to pass this year…
