when you try and try
to make a snowman
the fluffy, sticky, wet snow is gone
the icy, hard, dry snow is here
you think and think
of another way
just decorate a bump that you find
make a flat-puffy snowman
and there you go.

I can’rt remember the last time I made a snowman, but it must be close to 60 years ago now.
Best wishes, Pete.

The older we get the harder it gets. We forget how to play make believe.

Love this! Too often we are driven to make perfection our goal. Sometimes the effort of creativity should be the goal.

Part of the beauty of snow is trying to find creative ways to use it. We loved when the snowplow came down the alley when we were kids. They’d pile all the snow up in a vacant lot, and we’d build an elaborate tunnel system that would make any gopher envious.

I think that is the most wonderous thing about teaching in early years! We are never going to forget how a child sees things in all their innocence!
