not my class or horse, but a tiny bit similar if you squint your eyes.
the quote below perfectly sums up my vocation.
—
“if you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. that’s a heck of a day.
you do that seven days a week, you’re going to have something special.”

Well, I’m in that picture. Right in front with the patent leather shoes with STRAPS! I hated those straps!
And I hated that boy clear in the back. He was always P.H.N.

There isn’t a rocking horse in any of my classes, only a black sheep 🙂 Yes, laugh think and cry… perfect. Never anger.

I think this is something that all people should be taught. Your kinders are lucky, I know they are being taught this.

Love the quote and the “vintage” photo. You made me smile even broader on this warm and sunny day in southern Minnesota. Thank you!

I firmly believe that the person I am today is, in part, because of the wonderful teachers I’ve had over the years. Not only have they taught me but they have also inspired me and encouraged me.

That’s teaching! I have some of my writing lectures up on Youtube. They still help students. When I learn about that, it makes me so happy because it isn’t just me. It’s Mrs. Zinn, my AP English teacher. It’s a great and wonderful chain. ❤ No horse though

Great quote, Beth! I’ve seen Jim Valvano’s speech before, but I hadn’t watched in a few years. It’s so moving! If you’ve got ten minutes and have never seen it, give it a watch. The last part is particularly moving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHKzH6zR8xE
