No more of these in our area, but fond memories of those that served all of us well in an earlier time. And, we still have most all of the books!

Ah, the scent and ambiance of a little independent bookstore… Once I start looking, I can’t stop until I’ve looked at every book in an enjoyed genre section. I actually like the little stores with new and used books – the more ‘used’ a book appears, the more I believe that it has been loved by many.

The book: our greatest invention. I’ve just started the last book in Ursula K. Le Guin’s “Earthsea” series. The quote above really hits home these days.

As I go through the last book, it’s the saddest I’ve been for a series to end in a long time.

I am in agreement with Kiki! Though it is easy to skip a pet store, I always enjoy a stroll through a book store.

I was just in Europe and had a 13+ hour flight home – and I had finished the book I brought with me…went to a bookstore in Rome and found the perfect travel companion….and the flight home was glorious!

I love used book stores. This bizarre place where I live calls them “thrift stores” and sells clothes, dishes and shoes and stuff. Insane.

I would be so much more ignorant if i didn’t read. A few people I know only read non-fiction, because they say fiction is just made up. I say no, fiction IS ALL ABOUT ALL OF US and opens the world of truth to its readers.
