according to turkmenistanian math

i am in the ‘inspirational’ cycle of my life

 heading toward ‘wise’

so i had better get on it!

if i was in the wise cycle

i would have

read all the way to the bottom

to see these cycles

only apply to turkmenistanians

so the pressure is off

now i can comfortably return 

to my blissfully unaware/immature cycle.

  9. Whew! I was reading along and beginning to worry about how close to being “wise” I am when, in fact, there are still so many ways and things about which I am totally “unwise”! I do, however, like the idea that old age doesn’t begin until we turn 85.

  15. Big smile here. I’ve been called wise but as per Turkmenistan’s counting, I can’t be…. I do love however their way of thinking, as I admire yours… in my view you are quite wise, but having kept your youthful outlook and approach to life. ❤️

  16. When it comes to cycles I believe we all have the possibility of being Turkmenistanian. It lies in our being able to believe. I am in the last year of being prophetic, and will become inspirational on the 10th of November. But regardless of my cycle, I am looking forward to a new school year and making the days count for my 6th graders. Keep making your days count.

  18. If a president is going to spend time making pronouncements, this isn’t the worst-ever. I wonder how he’d adjust his categories for a different country. For some reason, that note about these applying only to Turkmenistan amused me no end.

  21. I think the last line refers only to the last cycle (hitting 97). The sentence uses the singular, and it makes sense that only people of Turkmenistan would enter a phase named after their nation’s founder. So you’re not off the hook – wise up! 😉

  27. It takes the planet Jupiter 12 years to orbit the sun, and the number twelve is symbolically and mathematically important, because of its divisiblity by the numbers 2, 3, 4, and 6. This is a key feature in astrology, too, as with the 12 signs of the zodiac. The Chinese zodiac is also based on the Jupiter cycle.

  38. I did read to the bottom line. It can all still apply, anywhere.
    However, it doesn’t because many societies disregard people after the youthfulness period is over. Our society reveres the young and is annoyed or terrified by the aged.
