A good education will serve our youth better than any material inheritance. Love the photo, Beth!

I wonder what JFK would think of modern-day America? Banned books, and the re-writing of history.
Best wishes, Pete.

There are so many forces going against receiving a good education now. Thank you for doing all you, Beth.

That should have been “all you do.” But maybe all you, too. 🙂

Staying the Course is not easy. It takes work and persistence. We may ask: “But what can I do?” Even a gentle discussion with a reluctant neighbor/relative might change some minds. We are all educators in a way.
Anger and argument is not helpful. (I’ve tried that.) 😦

Not only in the US has education been flushed down the proverbial toilet of life, but here in Europe as well. So I guess the world is heading towards catastrophe!

What a beautiful quote and that picture, by Jeff, is stunning. It spurs many thoughts for me. I have photos of one-room schools from travels. In many ways I feel I was born at the wrong time, the wrong era and this evokes a time, in education and life, in which I had experienced. I think of you with your little kinders, Beth. Keep on staying the course in all you do. 💕

Marvelous quote…and very true. If JFK were still here, he might be a tad horrified.

An excellent quote and beautiful photo to go with it. Education is the difference between remaining stuck and liberation – of all sorts.

If only there were more teachers like you. If only teachers had more freedom. If only they could teach the truth…Lucky are the kids who start with you. So many if only’s.

thank you so much and I love what I do every day. I feel lucky and honored to be given there freedom to teach the truth and let the children experience and discover the world on their own terms. I’m just their guide.

I believe that. I guess that’s what makes a teacher a teacher; actually caring that the students learn, even when they don’t. It’s hard.
