imagine my delight
when discovering this spring baby giraffe
in the woods near my home
i had no idea that they were native to michigan.

The Michigan Knotted Pygmy Giraffe. A rare breed indeed. What a thrill to see one in its natural habitat!

They say you shouldn’t pick up a baby animal that’s alone in the wild, but I certainly hope that little guy finds its way home soon. I’m sure somebody is missing it!

I’m guessing he will, he is just too cute. one first glance, I actually might have screamed a tiny bit because I mistook him for an unusual fungus of some sort. )

I saw a stuffed giraffe in the lobby of a motel/restaurant in my little city. FOR REAL! repeat … FOR REAL!
First time/Last time I dined there. I left no tip.

Michigan is on the secret travel itinerary of all giraffes. The tour bus should be arriving any day now.😊

How I envy you. I’d have to drive down to Colorado Springs to see a giraffe, and that would be in a zoo, not in the wild.
