so, i actually cried while watching “the smurfs”
luckily there was some magic involved
that turned things around
as the universe tends to do
in its own strange way
unexpectedly
with no explanation
and all at once
everything was right with world again.

Awww! I cry at just about every animated movie as well. I guess we are just kids at heart! or incredibly soft touches.

When I was pregnant I actually cried during an episode where the smurphs were lost and Papa Smurphs was trying to comfort and encourage the Others! ♡

I took six of my grandies to see this and only one was moved as I was. The idea in commercial and snippets released about sweet Smurfette finding other girls is part of how I was teary eyed. . . I won’t say the other parts. . . except the circle of love was beautiful! 🌈 👩❤👩

can’t wait to see it if it helps I cry with a lot of movies too…it is okay to cry at the movies or even reading a book.

The smurfs have found a way to comfort me throughout my life Beth. The kids and I still watch some of the old cartoons and there is a lesson in all of them. I have cried and laughed many a time. I can’t wait to see this movie. I’ve seen every single one 🙂

I have been wanting to see this, buy my kids aren’t interested. I guess I’ll have to watch it on my own at some point!!
Speaking of crying, I cry at the strangest things. If an ambulance drives by, I get all choked up and teary eyed. If I’m at a hockey game, I will cry when everyone stands up to sing the national anthem. I will also cry when someone scores a goal. I don’t even LIKE hockey!! I will sympathy cry with anyone who even looks remotely emotional!! And if someone tells me that they cried a week ago, my eyes will instantly start to well up.

Oh, I don’t imagine there’s anything wrong with being moved, even if it’s by something you worry is juvenile.
