something about finding an old gate
wondering
why is it there
what it opens to
where it leads
could i
see my way through?

round the corner.
i love this gate
left as it was
full of wonder
and
all the stories
of those who passed through it

gate.
a gate in the hedge
leads the way
in
or
out
to
what?
to
where?
is it better
to go
around
or
through
or
walk on by?

“the world is all gates, all opportunities, strings of tension waiting to be struck.”
