waiting for the kids again and yet again

his day jobs

are driving the fire truck and acting in movies

but when the weekend comes

he’s manning the wheel of the minivan

doing errands and chauffeuring the pups around

to all their social events and games

just like every other dalmation.

agreeable friends.

Standard

when walking on a path in the park today

i noticed 5 different dogs, with 4 different owners

coming from all directions

lots of jumping and friendly barking

wondering how they would all get along

 soon saw

it was a planned play date

a dog party

so thrilled to see each other

immediately falling into joyful play

just like in one of my very favorite books

go, dog, go!

with the surprise dog party at the end.

(sorry for the too late spoiler alert)

this tiny dog

has lived a full life

gifted to me by my dear friend

having once

belonged to

her husband’s mother/grandmother

i would love to know its story

it has seen the world and is beautifully imperfect.

that is the great work.

to take a negative experience and,

by comparing it to something worse,

make it feel good, is a great skill. “

because i am a dog.

An adorable Shiba Inu named Ken-kun in Hokkaido, Japan remarkably runs his own sweet potato stand.

The watchful dog politely tends to whatever the customer needs, however, he is not able to accept payment. That situation is solved with a slot in which to put the money.

Customers need to have the exact amount (or be willing to leave the rest), as a sign on the front of the stand reads:

“Because I am a dog, I can’t give you change.”

“the dog lives for the day, the hour, even the moment.”
