my grandson, Jackson (in the green shirt and shorts)
people, animals, kindness, dancing, laughing, and tacos
has become a part of a new kid congress
a group springing from the legacy of
(who has now grown into a young man)
with a mission to show
that kids can help to change the world for the better
thank you to kid president for passing the torch
giving more kids the opportunity to bring good to the world
i couldn’t be prouder of these little people with gigantic hearts.
(if you have two minutes, use the link below to meet the new congress)

a shoutout to all of my highly-spirited grandies
one of the rare photos
from a few years back
of all sitting still in one place at one time
happy grandparents day to all
with much love from peaches
thanks for reminding me what’s important each and every day.
“children make your life important.”
you know that feeling
when you fall down
on the trampoline
and keep trying to get up
but everyone keeps jumping
and you keep bouncing
and then all of you
and keep belly-laughing
and cannot stop?
“life has its ups and downs, but you can only look forward.”
hung out with four of the six-pack tonight
creating with clay
home spa nail painting
hide and seek
a TV movie
rounding up the cats
building a giant sleep nest
no one is at all tired yet
the perfect time to bake brownies
and eat them as a late night snack
with some ice cream on top
their parents will never know.
“if we’re not meant to have midnight snacks, why is there a light in the fridge?”

“ice cream — the great melter of all resolve.”
i’m very honored to see
that i was squeezed in between
‘tacos’ and ‘fall’
as one of my grandie’s favorite things.
life does not get better than that.
i love you too.
“every day is quite unique, which is one of my favorite things!”
the grandies offered me a chance
to choose my superpower –
flight, strength, invisibility, speed, or shape shift?
i chose invisibilty
got inside of the machine
they powered it up
when i came out
they confirmed that i was now invisible.
except for my feet
which did not fit in the box.
i can live with that.
“the things that make us different, those are our superpowers.”
to do list – style a:
play with the ponies 1.
pack the cars. 2.
go to bed 3.
get in the car to go on vacation 4.
do fun things 5.
a major contrast in approaches
both with the same desired outcome
each with their own
style of list
way of getting ready
to go on a trip.
to do list – style b:
‘go around and around in a twisty circle and get some stuff done
and not some other stuff and then hide for a while
and eat something you find outside
and then get in the car to go on vacation and do fun things.’
(i am more of a ‘b-list style’ of organizer. what about you – a or b?)
“the process and organization leading up to cooking the egg
can tell you a lot about the cook.”
– sure signs of a fun spring birthday celebration for baby v-
that moment when baby j feels the magic.
christmas isn’t a season. it’s a feeling.
