lucky you, Beth; yes, surprises by their very definition come out of the blue; I might do a post on one soon: It’s a rich area to write about; there was a very funny anecdote by Richard Adams, you know the guy who wrote Hitchhiker;s Guide, about a surprise he had; I’ll see if I can chase it up 🙂 I found it, Beth, or rather a reference to it: if any reader wants to check it out Google ‘Douglas Adams + stolen biscuits’ 🙂
