and so we went to find art.
and after we ran so far,
and climbed so many stairs,
we could see the sky.
and there we found
a beautiful stone lion waiting for us.
we must have climbed to the top of the world.
and we were in the clouds.
Art is the only way to run away without leaving home. ~Twyla Tharp

The images of the kiddos are priceless. Please excuse my over-analysis; and I acknowledge I could be out in the O-Zone. The quote (Picasso’s), I’ve never seen … and there is much poetry and philosophical rants about “seeking” this and “seeking” that; Picasso’s quote is really a good “disrupter”, in that there is the reality, the truth, that we do actually “find” what we are seeking, sometimes. And these kiddos, their imaginations prolific, do both: they “seek”, and they “find. As you wrote, ” … we must have climbed to the top of the world.” Transcendence: most kiddos have it; and art offers it. Okay, I’m out. T
