some ideas,
like warm cookies and milk delivered to you
at your house or your dorm
until 3am,
are simple,
and just brilliant.
Insomnia Cookies was born out of the dislike of heavy meals late at night, love of food delivery, and the realization that by the time you get hungry at night, nothing is open. The concept was founded by Seth Berkowitz in 2003 from his dorm room while attending the University of Pennsylvania. Berkowitz started baking and delivering warm cookies to students late-night on campus… and Insomnia Cookies was born.
and now, when i see the truck heading out through the streets of ann arbor, i smile every time.
I usually travel with a posse. I roll deep.
I travel like a rapper, but without the artillery.
We don’t carry guns, we carry cookies.

I love cookies! 🙂 Here is a nursery rhyme about cookies:

Chocolate yummy
Sweetie, Sweetie

Can I call Seth Berkowitz a smart cookie, Beth? Pleeeeeze? Oh, you know I have to! What a great idea that college student came up with, and now in 40 college towns for lucky stay-ups, town-and-gown insomiacs alike. I would smile too at the sight (and smell, too, hopefully) of that truck! 🙂

I have to admit, there are many successful business that I don’t understand at all, and this would be one of them. That’s why I’m not an entrepreneur, I guess! Then again, I always have munchies laying around and know that Jack in the Box will serve me whatever I want 24/7/365…

I enjoyed the story, but for some reason, the pictures won’t show up on my computer. Someone is tampering with my enjoyment. This is not good.

I wish they delivered to our house! When we were on our cruise to Alaska, we could order these. It was so fun–warm chocolate chip cookies and ice cold milk. (and the glaciers were cool too!) LOL
