my sister

and

i could

identify

with

every word

for it’s

an

approach

to life

that i share

with the small boy

in the words above

the orange sticky note

that

she attached

to it

and i

saw

this

as

a

wonderful

compliment

and

a

precious

gift

for

it shows

that

she truly

knows

who i am.

  23. That is exactly how I imagine you. Your posts always have that feel about them – as if you’ve discovered riches through the eyes of that same child. It’s a wonderful compliment from your sister. Wonderful, too, that you still have that gift. I can see the steam rising and hear the whistle glowing from here.

  29. That is a lovely piece, and yes it is how I imagine you, however I love the way your sister really knows you and shows it.
    I’ve a brother who knows me as your sister does you. We’re lucky.

  39. Yep, this is me, too. Not just waiting for the train, but watching people do things while I wait–my mechanic doesn’t even flinch when I hang around to watch him unbolt things from beneath my truck and reattach or replace other things. I told him long ago that I’m not trying to supervise–I’m just easily entertained. I’d follow the waitress into the kitchen to watch the cooks fix my meal if I could.
