lovely spot tucked away in the city
site of a
beautiful brunch
and
meeting of
b.a.d.a.s.s.
(books and drinks and samba society)
women (and a random piñata) of all ages and occupations
talking about books
and
life
and
sports
and
adventures
and
entertainment
and
true crime
and
politics
and
sharing many laughs
and
friendship
and
good food
and
meeting new and interesting people
sharing the piñata head
and
in what seemed
much too short a time
everyone was off
in different directions
some
to see flashdance one more time
others
to watch sports
and some
continued the celebration elsewhere
after this wonderful beginning to the day.
Looks like fun!

Exciting times. Thanks for the Pooh excerpt. I had no idea how much I loved Pooh till I was no longer a child. Could have been a couple years ago. The wisdom always makes me crack up. A wonderful start to my day. Thank YOU. ❤ ❤

Not sure if brunch is a carb, but I can assure you that chocolate is a veggie. After all it comes from beans 🙂
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Beth! I forwarded this to my book club–we are the S.L.U.T.s, short for Stuff Limbaugh Under the Train. I love the Badass name, though. What fun! And the Pooh and Piglet commentary was perfect. I’ll bet you were kicking off your break from school. Perfect. 🙂

Winnie the Pooh has wonderful wisdom. I do wonder if brunch is a carb? My phys ed background and hockey coaching leave me wondering.
